HELLO DECEMBER! I don’t think I ever grew out of it but Christmas is still my favorite time of the year. I remember the times when I was Danielle and Asher’s age spending Christmas in Los Angeles – we would drive up to Big Bear to enjoy the snow in the mountains, I would make a DIY ginger bread house in school, our home smelled like fresh pine from our Christmas tree (a far cry to our plastic ones in Manila), I would leave my note to Santa by our fireplace with milk and cookies and we would have never ending Christmas carols that would be playing for the whole month of December. I get giddy just thinking about it. I love Christmas!!!
Christmas was a time for family (it still is, of course): Since a lot of our family was based in Manila – my grandparents & other family members would fly to L.A., we would have never-ending family reunions and I was allowed to stay up past my bedtime playing with my cousins. I have the best Christmas memories and I want Danielle and Asher to have wonderful times as well – I’m documenting it one Christmas at a time!
Here’s the kid’s Christmas photo taken last December 2013: Danielle (12 years old) | Asher (1 year 8 months).
Time flies and the kids grow up so fast. Look at the photos taken a year before, December 2013: Danielle (11 years old) | Asher (8 months).
Being the sentimental cheese ball that I am, I used their photo as our Christmas gift card. I’m doing it for as long as I can since there are no major rants and objections yet. haha!
Trust me, I’m not the only one… Asher and his playgroup has the Christmas bug too!
Feeling the Christmas Spirit yet? Cuteness overload with these kiddos right???!
We couldn’t help ourselves so the mommies joined in on the fun too.
Shooting toddlers is never easy. You can’t imagine the amount of time, effort and energy it takes me, my mommy friends, the daddy’s and our favorite baby photographer – Ia Genato of Stork Studio to capture that perfect shot. MADNESS. hahaha!
In the end, the kids probably won’t remember shooting the photos but we have the memories and the photographs to last us a lifetime to remember that day and age of our kiddos lives. I can’t wait to see how our Christmas Shoot for December 2014 turned out.
I hope we brought you some Christmas cheer. Happy Holidays!!! :)
