I was in HK during the long weekend and fell in love with the make up from Giorgio Armani. I heard raving reviews about it from some of my friends in the industry: Beauty Queen Maggie Wilson-Consunji and Beauty Blogger Shari aka The Misty Mom swears by Armani’s foundation.
Luckily, I had a lot of time on my hands since I finished my factory visits, meetings earlier than expected and Carlo + Asher were still busy watching a movie. So I decided to just hang out in the beauty section of Lane Crawford to kill time.
I remembered Maggie asking me to buy her Armani Foundation during one of my trips to HK. Shari bought the Luminous Silk Foundation during our recent trip to Singapore. I didn’t have time back then, so this time around, I wanted to see and try it for myself.
So of course I loved it and ended up buying other stuff too. Here are the top 3 things I loved and purchased:
I usually HATE foundation on my face because it makes me feel icky especially with our hot and humid Manila weather. BUT the Armani Foundation is so light, has full coverage + SPF25 and gave me a polished matte look. I didn’t oil up and become cakey. I wore it the whole day, travelled back to Manila with it and I forgot I had it on. It was like an invisible layer of luminous skin! Love.
Note: The Power Fabric is the latest addition to the foundation. It was the Luminous Collection that was recommended to me by my friends!
Usually I use a gel liner and brush. I fell in love with Armani’s Eyes to Kill Liner because of the tip and easy application. The only thing I don’t like about it is that I need to repeat the process several times to make it appear black, black.
But LOOK how thin it can be applied. It’s there but almost like it’s not. Perfection! Oh and it lasts all day without smudging.
It’s a matte laquer that’s easy to apply and it stays on the whole day without drying the lips. The best part, you can apply it to look full and thick OR you can dab it on and smudge it for a more natural lip blush look.
Tip: Matte lipstick usually registers better in photos because there’s no reflection.
