I’m just going to put it out there but I am definitely one of those women who’s scared to grow old, get fat and “lose myself”.

Photo was taken 2 weeks post partum at 138lbs.

After I had Alana, I was in hiding from the world. I couldn’t and still can’t believe that I gained 45 freakin’ lbs as compared to my other two pregnancies where I only gained 23 and 25 lbs., respectively. I hated myself for eating so much and losing control of my weight!!!

Of course, my first solution to “fixing” myself was to get help from the beauty experts at The Aivee Institute. I know the drill, change my diet…exercise and sleep. Obviously I just had a baby so exercise and sleep was out…

Photo was taken 5 months post partum, the 2nd Ulthera session treatment at 115 lbs.

My main problem was my face. Not only was I over weight and bloated. But my skin was a mess, my face was droopy and fine lines were emerging. Hormonal and over fatigue, yes. But seriously with the machines available now-a-days, there’s no excuse. And ladies, there are ways to slow down the aging process and defy gravity. The solution: Ulthera!!! I swear by this especially since it’s not the first time I’ve done it.

Ulthera is a non-surgical way to lift, tighten and improve fine lines. It’s uses focus ultrasound to aggressively stimulate collagen and elastin production. No knife, no needles, no downtime!

You’ll notice the effects gradually after a month. I usually do it every 6 months BUT since desperate times call for desperate measures, I did a shorter interval to jumpstart the progress of my slimmer appearance.

The actual procedure takes less than 30 minutes but you’ll need to allocate an extra 20 minutes for EMLA cream, topical anesthesia. Although some patients opt to do without it. But personally, I’m a bit dramatic and want the whole shebang….EMLA, stress balls, the ice treatment and the cold air being blown on my face to distract me from the discomfort and prickly pain. The Aivee Institute spoils their patients so much that they even had someone giving me a foot massage during the procedure (not in the photo). Haha!

Here’s a side by side comparison. What do you think? The best part, it’s safe for breastfeeding mommas too!

Til my next post… Stay beautiful!

Hugs,
