My husband and I are major life planners BUT for trips, we take it easy and usually plan, nothing. Hahaha!

So when Asher wanted to go ice skating at The Rink in Rockefeller Center, we thought it would be quick, easy and just a short wait. When we got there, we were wrong. The line to ice skate reached the streets and people said general admissions would take a few hours. OMG!

Instead we went to The Trump Wollman Rink at Central Park so we wouldn’t waste time. That night, my husband checked out The Rink at Rockefeller Center site and discovered that we could reserve and buy VIP tickets BUT 2 days after and only slot available was at 8:30am. TIP: Book and buy early coz it sells out fast!

You can book & buy through here:

The experience was pretty amazing. The next day, it was raining and we braved our way to The Rink at Rockefeller Center with the intent of getting a refund at worst ask to be rescheduled. Hahaha!

But apparently, rain or shine, people still skate.

But I have to say the the VIP Skate passes was pretty pricey but way worth it. If we waited in line in the General Admissions line we would’ve wasted so much time.

But other than getting a special in & out access to the rink, you get to relax in an exclusive Igloo.

Plus you get to enjoy:

Refreshments including hot chocolate, espresso drinks and bottled water.

My husband loved the creamy chocolate but for me the S’Mores Cocoa was the winner.

Gingerbread and sugar cookies is always a good idea!

Of course complimentary skate rentals were provided too.

Despite the cold and the rain, we had so much fun!!!

Asher especially!!!

Plus who doesn’t love hot chocolate. Yum!!!

Attaching the general rates for your reference.

And as for the VIP Skate rates:

November 18 – January 6 it costs $75-$150

January 7 – February 25 it costs $60

So if you’re in NYC and want to experience The Rink at Rockefeller Center ~ I highly recommend getting the VIP Skate passes. It’s so worth it. Time is gold!

Til my next post…
